The Seeing Eye Lemmings--History

The Seeing Eye Lemmings were formed in 1994, and were composed of four musicians that were veterans of the Ann Arbor music scene. Jerry Toast met The Time Flies met The Pukes. The rest is now history.

In the summer of 1994, Al Kakoczky, Dave Levy and Vic Kinsey had been recording demos, with the help of engineer Tommy Anton. As Autumn set in, Al invited Mark Tim Whitehouse to participate in the band, and the Lemmings were born. Incidentally, the name arose from a famous brainstorming session, in which the Seeing Eye Lemons would provide help to the Blind Melon, so that they might find their way...

This was not to be...

On October 8, 1994, the first Lemming session produced three classic Prog Rock songs, which were then called New Way(the proto Camel Song), Middle Ground(Neutral Ground) and No Fear, a prodigious output for one day in time.

The Seeing Eye Lemmings went on to hash out an albums worth of songs(or two) with the help of Marty Jones on Guitar, and Engineer Tom Anton manning the sound board. The sessions lasted into the spring of 1995, when the Lemmings began recording their first album, or LP, a disc that was known by several names: Middle Ground(1996), You Bet Your Life(2002), and iRun(2006).
